Michael McDonald’s husky, smooth-ful baritone appeared on damn-near EVERY smooth album of the late 70s, early 80s. He was so ubiquitous that Saturday Night Live made a skit of him rushing panic-madly from one high-profile recording session to the next.

The epitome of smooth was reached when Michael fronted the Doobies. I love this song so much, I squeal with delight every time it plays:
